Zhejiang Kaydrill passes ISO 9001 quality management recertification

Behind every KayDrill compressor that leaves the factory is a quality management system that is checked again and again. In October 2026, Zhejiang Kaydrill Machinery Co., Ltd. passed its ISO 9001 recertification audit conducted by Bochuang Zhongcheng (Beijing) Certification Service Co., Ltd., against GB/T 19001-2016 / ISO 9001:2015, for the assembly of screw air compressors. The new certificate is valid until October 2029 — confirming once more, from an independent body, how KayDrill manages quality across design, purchasing, manufacturing, inspection and after-sales service.

What is ISO 9001 recertification?

ISO 9001 is the world’s most widely used quality management standard. Certification is not for life: the certification body carries out periodic surveillance audits and, before the certificate expires, a recertification audit to confirm that the system still works and still meets the standard. Passing it shows that quality management at KayDrill is part of daily operation, not a one-off preparation for an audit.

The audit looks at real production and service

Rather than just reviewing documents, a system audit focuses on whether what is done matches what is written. Under the standard, audits typically cover:

  • Design and development: records from requirements, design reviews and prototype testing to product release;
  • Purchasing and supply chain: selection, evaluation and incoming inspection of key components such as airends, power units, motors and filters;
  • Manufacturing and inspection: assembly processes, in-process checks, factory testing and handling of non-conformities;
  • After-sales and customer feedback: complaints, parts supply, service response and closed-loop corrective and preventive action.

Why a quality system matters to compressor users

Portable screw compressors work on mines, tunnels, hydropower projects and high-altitude sites — continuous, heavy-duty and harsh. When a unit stops, a whole drilling or construction line can stop with it. For these customers, consistency between batches, traceable problems and improvements that stick matter far more than impressive figures on paper. Systematic quality management turns that consistency into something that can be checked and sustained.

KayDrill’s principle is “real sites define real performance”. Joint tuning of airend and power unit, cooling and filtration design and factory testing all depend on stable processes, and recertification provides external review of that daily work.

A foundation of trust for customers worldwide

KayDrill products are exported to more than 30 countries and regions. For overseas dealers and end users, ISO 9001 is one of the first qualifications asked about when assessing a supplier and, together with CE compliance documents, forms the threshold of trust before working together. Recertification helps keep that assessment simple and shortens the time to start cooperation.

Continuous improvement beyond the certificate

The value of a quality system shows up on customers’ sites. KayDrill will keep using it to improve product design and service processes based on customer feedback — delivering “reliable power for every site” with every unit we ship and every service call we answer.
