Efficiency & running cost
A large airend with an optimised rotor profile reaches the target flow at lower speed, lowering specific power. Direct or large-gear drive cuts mechanical losses and lifts volumetric efficiency, keeping failures low under long full-load runs and reducing whole-life running cost.

Low-noise acoustic design
Multi-layer acoustic panels and isolation mounts damp noise and vibration from the airend and motor mounts to the canopy lining. The lower running speed means less noise at source than high-speed units of the same power — easing compliance in plants, mines, towns and tunnels.

Service-friendly layout
The interior follows the service route: oil filter, air filter and separator are within reach of the doors and change without removing other parts. Some models have wide gull-wing side doors to shorten each service. A parking brake is standard for slopes and uneven ground.

Heavy-duty protection
For mine and field roads: a high-strength steel chassis with outdoor-grade anti-corrosion paint resists damp, dust and temperature swings. Isolation mounts, a heavy-duty drawbar and hard-wearing tyres handle frequent towing on unpaved ground.

The LG and M Series look similar on paper — how do I choose?

The flow and pressure ranges are close; the difference is positioning. The M Series targets mining and continuous heavy duty with stronger filtration, cooling and cold-start options; the LG Series targets general duty with better value, lower noise and easier service.
What do LGCY and LGDY mean?

LGCY is the diesel model prefix and LGDY the electric prefix — the same logic as CM/DM in the M Series.
Do all models have gull-wing side doors?
+
Only some models. Ask KayDrill to confirm the door type for a specific model.
